President Akufo-Addo launched GH¢1b COVID-19 Alleviation Programme Business Support Scheme
Following the wide spread of the deadly Coronavirus in Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the President of the Republic of Ghana has launched a GH¢1 billion Coronavirus Alleviation Programme Business Support Scheme business in the country.
During a short ceremony held at the Jubilee House on Tuesday, 19th May, 2020, President Nana Addo noted in his speech that, Coronavirus Alleviation Programme Business Support Scheme will provide support to micro, small and medium-scale businesses across Ghana.
“On Tuesday, 19th May, 2020, I launched the GH¢1 billion Coronavirus Alleviation Programme Business Support Scheme which is being provided to micro, small and medium-scale businesses around the country.” e announced.
According to the President, the minimum eligibility for Coronavirus Alleviation Programme Business Support Scheme are;
- Micro, Small or Medium Enterprise
- Member of an Association, Trade Group, or NBSSI
- Tax Identification Number
President Nana Addo is hopeful that the Coronavirus Alleviation Programme Business Support Scheme will attract one hundred and eighty thousand (180,000) individuals who shall benefit from the scheme. In conclusion, he appealed to qualified individuals who shall benefit from the scheme to make good use of the funds received for the reasons it was given, in order to build a stronger and buoyant economy for Ghana.
“It is anticipated that the entire Scheme will attract some one hundred and eighty thousand (180,000) beneficiaries across the country. I urge all beneficiaries to use the funds received for the intended purpose, so that, together, we can work to grow our economy once again.” He anticipated.
