Andrew Velazquez well-known as “Squid”, is an American professional baseball infielder for the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Velazquez was traded by the Rays to the Cleveland Indians on July 3, 2019, in return for international bonus pool allotments. As a result, the Indians designated Chih-Wei Hu for assignment.
Subsequently, Cleveland assigned Velazquez to the International League’s Columbus Clippers and later promoted him to the major leagues on September 17. During his five games with Cleveland, Velazquez recorded a double, which was his sole hit in 11 at-bats.
