Asaase Radio will be shut down in Six Months when John Mahama is Sworn into office – Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo Serves Notice

The Bono regional youth organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress  Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo has served notice of some of the radio stations they will close down when John Dramami Mahama wins the December 7, 2020 and is is sworn into office on January 7,2021.

According to Efo Worlanyo “the laws that did not work for Radio Gold and Muntie wouldn’t work for Asaase and others as well. The public sympathy Radio Gold and others couldnt get, Asaase, Wontumi, and others wouldn’t also get it. Just wait and see what happens!”

It could be recalled that, the two NDC affiliated radio stations, Muntie FM and Radio Gold were closed down by the National Communications Authority and the National Security due to issues with the payment of their license fees.

In a facebook post, Efo Worlanyo said that the newly established Asaase Radio with frequency 99.5 has only six months to operate because it will be off air by January 7th 2021 when John Mahama is Sworn into office.

He said “Asaase has six months to operate because it will be off air by January 7th 2021. The same way Radio Gold and others went off, same National Security and NCA will shut Asaase down.”
