Asamoah Gyan reacts to Dede Ayew’s penalty miss

Former Black Stars captain and striker Asamoah Gyan has reacted to Dede Ayew’s penalty miss in Ghana vrs Uruguay match.

After the hard match played by Ghana and her rival country, Uruguay, at the Qatar World Cup, a lot of Ghanaian took to the Internet and disclosed their disappointment in the penalty missed by Dede Ayew, Captain of the Black Stars.

Asamoah Gyan also reacted to the situation by saying that “I can imagine what Dede Ayew is going through right now because I’ve been there before. You can’t lose a game like this.”

Football fans and Ghanaians in general 12 years ago were broken heart by the hand ball caused by the Uruguayan footballer Lius Suarez which led to a penalty but it was missed by Asamoah Gyan.

Ghana meeting their rival, Uruguay again at the World Cup according to most of Ghanaians and football fans should have been the perfect time to take revenge and fighting for what rightfully belongs to them.

Fortunately, a penalty occurred but it was not caused by “hand ball” or by Luis Suarez despite he being part of the 2022 World Cup squad representing his country.

Dede Ayew played the penalty but it was missed hence, it recalled the stress football fans and Ghanaians went through when Asamoah Gyan missed the same penalty years ago.

Per the reaction of Asamoah Gyan after Dede Ayew missed the penalty, he, Asamoah Gyan expressed himself  making reference to same incidence that happened to him 12 years ago.

“I’ve been there before,” he said.
