Reportages have it that, Baba Kekere (Baba Keji) is believed to have served about three (3) different Alaafins of the Oyo Palace.
Who is the oldest man in Yoruba land?
When Baba Kekere was asked of his name, he said Morenikeji Laisi but commonly known as Baba Kekere.
When Baba Kekere was interrogated, he said records of birth dates were not taken as at that time. He can’t recollect his date of birth but he might be above 200 years. Baba Keji Headed the Slave Palace way back.
Adding more facts to calculated his age, he disclosed that he worked with Alaafin Oba Adeniran Adeyemi II. Alaafin Oba was the Monarch King that ruled between the year 1945 to 1956.
After serving Alaafin Oba Adeniran Adeyemi II between 1945-1956, Baba Keji again served the next Oba called Oba Ladigbolu (1956-1968)
Currently, he was serving Alaafin Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III from 1970 – 2022). Not long ago, Adeyemi III passed away leaving his Baba Kekere behind.
Netizens are speculating that, Baba Keji is a real definition of Yoruba land and rich culture passage stature.
