Bagbin writes: The journey of Allotey Jacobs from CPP to NDC and now NPP

The former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr. Bernard Allotey Jacobs’ suspension from the party has generated viral public reactions among well-meaning Ghanaians. Some believe that, the decision to suspend one time bigwig of the party is right based on his recent public attack and illed allegations against the 2020 Flagbearer of NDC John Dramani Mahama, the party and other party members.
In a statement, the Deputy Youth Organizer of the Kintampo South Mr. Bagbin Mpondan has touted how the suspended Former Central Regional Chairman has moved from CPP to NDC and finally landed at NPP.

Mr. Bagbin Mpondan, in a statement Intercepted by Coverghana.com.gh said;
Praise be to the Almighty God/Allah the most high for the wonderful thing he has done for the NDC today 10th March 2021. All the true sons and daughters of the great NDC should rejoice over the announcement today by Bernard Allotey Jacobs on Kokrokoo morning show that he is no longer a member of the NDC and has subsequently declared support for President Akufo-Addo who has been described by the Former Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu as the “Mother Serpent Of Corruption” and his Vice President Dr Bawumia.
“NDC should rejoice because a Traitor, Backstabber, Hypocrite, Sycophant and above all a Selfish Self-Serving individual like Allotey Jacobs has exited from the great party. No Political party can grow or progress with such characters in their midst who are ever ready to destroy their own party for their personal gains.” He explained.
“Political parties are established by people who believe and share the same ideologies. It is natural that if you no longer believe in the ideology of your Political party you exit peacefully but you don’t seek to destroy and destabilize like Allotey Jacobs and Koku Anyidoho is doing before you leave.”
“Discipline is at the heart of every Political party and for that matter if you feel that you are too big to be disciplined in a huge Political party like the NDC then you cannot belong to the Umbrella family.”
“I am personally not surprised a bit about the exit because it had been prophesied by the Hon Maame Ama Benyiwa Doe a long time ago. To paraphrase what she said ” Allotey Jacobs is into Politics for a purpose which is Money and his stomach and anytime he feels that the purpose has not been served he simply walks away”. He is a man without principles, without morals and without integrity and reputation.”
“He contributed to the heavy defeat of the NDC in the Central Region in 2016 as Central Regional Chairman by reducing the NDC seats in Parliament from 16 seats in 2012 to 4 seats in 2016 Elections. He made money from the NDC under President Mills and President Mahama through juicy contracts. He built Hotels and a Mall at Cape Coast under NDC but has chosen to denigrate and disrespect President Mahama and the NDC who made him who he is today. The signs of his exit was clear when he joined Akuffo Addo in 2020 to inaugurate the Ekumfi Juice Factory.”
“I humbly urge all members and sympathizers of the Umbrella family to celebrate this exit with a Thanksgiving Services at the Mosques on Friday and the Churches on Saturday and Sunday in white attires.”
