The Member of Parliament for the people of Bantama constituency in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Daniel Okyem Aboagye has donated Anesthesia Machine and Patients Monitors to the Suntreso Government Hospital.

As a top up, the Bantama Member of Parliament added to the machines, few boxes of hand sanitizer and disposable face masks, though he presented larger quantities of same items plus other Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) few weeks ago.

Speaking to the press during the presentation, Hon Okyem Aboagye indicated that the Anesthesia Machine and Patients Monitors which cost One Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC100,000), are being given to the hospital to solve some challenges faced at the hospital’s theatre because there is only one theatre machine.

He explained that purchasing of the machines was funded with his share of MP’s National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) Fund for the period.

In addition, Hon. Daniel Okyem Aboagye disclosed that he will in the next three months work on completing the construction of a Child Care Center at the hospital which was started by the hospital administration with Internally Generated Funds but had to be abandoned due to lack of funds.

This facility as described by the hospital, would be used for post-natal care services for patrons of their services if completed.
