The Founding President of IMANI Center for Policy and Education Mr. Franklin Cudjoe has praised the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his role in managing the government’s digitalization agenda.
According to Franklin Cudjoe, the Vice President is handling the government’s digitilization agenda with so much passion and focus than any other person in government.
He has agreed with Dr. Bawumia’s assertion that, the New Patriotic Party government led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has transformed Ghana than any other government in the country’s history through digitization agenda.
Mr. Cudjoe believes that, there are great transformations no doubt, but certainly could be better with transparent procurement processes for acquiring some of the digital solutions. “This is one time when command control gets results.”
He described the Vice President’s programme as a brilliant lecture it was at Ashesi University Campus with great questions from students.
“I have a feeling Ashesi students are better at selling the govt’s digitalisation drive than the average NPP party loyalists. Or party folks are scared they will be marked for ‘death’ when they praise Bawumia’s digital efforts ahead of what might be a stormy succession race? Well, I am far removed from the madness of politics, so I will listen to Bawumia’s next lecture when he invites me again.” Franklin Cudjoe added.
He made the statement after Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia held a forum on 2nd November, 2021 at the Ashesi University Campus to speak on “Transforming an Economy through Digitization: The Ghana Agenda”
