Management of the Bishop Herman College (BIHECO) has presented it 2022 National Science and Maths Quiz Zonal trophy to the Volta Regional Minister Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa at the VRCC.
The Bishop Herman College has won the Volta-Oti championship of the National Science and Maths Quiz 2022 contests.
The College won the contest against Sonrise Christian High School and Mawuli School in the finals.
Ahead of the commencement of the National NSMQ, the school had on Thursday, July 14, 2022 met the Volta Regional Minister to officially present the trophy.
The Headmaster, some members of Staff, Executives of the Bishop Herman Old Boys Union (BHOBU), some old students and the contestants who represented the College in the Quiz were in Regional Minister’s office to present to him the prize from the Zonal Contest.
The school also invited Dr. Letsa to its 70th Anniversary of the College in November 2022.
Some of the challenges of the college were shared with him as well. The challenges were discussed and the assured the visitors of some changes that would occur in the college before the anniversary celebration.
He also assured the college of having its internal roads, which had been awarded but was abandoned by the contractor, included in the Kpando township roads to be upgraded.
Dr. Letsa congratulated the college on being the Oti/Volta Zonal Champions. He entreated the college to continue to work hard and bring glory to herself and the Region in the national contest.
Importantly, he entreated the team of contestants for the college never to relent in their academic work in order that they could become great professionals in the near future.
An Honorary Membership of BHOBU was conferred on Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa.
The visitors were accompanied by the Hon. Municipal Chief Executive for Kpando who is an old student, Mr. Geoffrey Badasu.
