Bryce Christopher Young plays quarterback for the National Football League’s (NFL) Carolina Panthers. He competed for the Alabama Crimson Tide in college football, setting the school record for most passing yards in a game (559), and taking home multiple Player of the Year honors in 2021, including the Heisman Trophy.
The Panthers made Young their first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Although he was raised in Pasadena, California, for the majority of his adolescence, he was actually born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 2018 saw Young transfer from Cathedral High School in Los Angeles to Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California.

Young went 5-of-8 for 54 yards passing and two yards rushing on four tries that night. In a 63-3 victory over Kentucky on November 21, he threw his first collegiate touchdown throw. Young competed in nine games in 2020, accumulating 156 throwing yards and one touchdown.
