Central Tongu District Coordinating Director in court over non-payment of SSNIT contributions

The Central Tongu District Coordinating Director, Reuben K. Akufo is in court over the non-payment of Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) contributions of some employees.
He admitted to the charge on Friday, 5th March 2021, when he appeared before the Sogakope circuit court.

He told the court he is making plans to pay up all the debts. The coordinating director was granted bail with a surety of GH¢15,000.00
He will reappear before court on Friday, 9th April 2021.

Mr. Reuben K. Akufo has failed to pay SSNIT contributions of these workers since 2012.
He had been investigated and found guilty after a whistleblower informed a SSNIT prosecutor of his unlawful act.
