Central Tongu MP allocates GH¢250,000 to boost education in the district

The Member of Parliament for Central Tongu, Hon. Alexander Roosevelt Hottordze has made a significant investment in education by allocating GH¢250,000.00 to the Central Tongu District Educational Directorate. The funds are earmarked for a wide range of educational initiatives aimed at strengthening teaching and learning within the district.
According to the MP, the allocation will cater for several pressing needs, including the financing of students’ fees, running the education office, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs for teachers, renovations, monitoring, and the provision of school furniture.
As part of his commitment, Hon. Hottordze donated 40 durable dual desks to the Mafi-Amideokor Presby Primary and Kindergarten on Monday, September 15, 2025, to enhance the learning environment for pupils
Earlier, on September 8, 2025, he fully financed the tiling of the District Education Office in Central Tongu, renovated and furnished the District Director of Education’s bungalow, and procured executive office chairs for the Directorate.
Speaking during his recent thank-you tour, the MP emphasized that these interventions form part of his broader agenda to support education in the constituency.
“Education remains a top priority. I have allocated GH¢250,000 to the District Educational Directorate in Central Tongu to support multiple educational activities. More will come. Let’s build Central Tongu together,” Hon. Hottordze affirmed.
The Central Tongu lawmaker has consistently championed educational development, with this latest support reflecting his long-standing commitment to ensuring that students, teachers, and educational administrators in the district have access to the tools and resources needed for effective teaching and learning.
