Central Tongu NPP Parliamentary Candidate donates cash and items to triplet orphans

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Central Tongu Constituency Mr. Raymond Abledu Amenu has on Saturday, 7th November, 2020 donated some items to the triplet orphans who lost their mother three weeks after they were born at Mafi-kpedzeglo in the central Tongu District of Volta Region.

According to the Parliamentary Candidate, he heard the breaking and sad news on Dela Radio and was touched. “God knows why he has to take their mother away and I believe it is time to prove to God that yes we can be each other’s keeper”. He told Coverghana.com.gh news team.

Speaking at the venue where he donated the assorted baby items, Mr. Raymond Abledu Amenu promised to continue to be part of the kids lives and do his best to put a smile on their faces. He presented items such as diapers, baby wipes, baby soaps and powder, kid dresses and an undisclosed amount of money to the family.

The father of the children who received the items on behalf of the family thanked Mr. Raymond Abledu Amenu and sundry who in diverse ways have donated to support the family. He asked the public to always keep them in  prayers.

Reports had it that , Madam Charlotte Amewu who stays in Ashiaman with her husband  came to her in-laws to deliver her baby when her time was due. She was discharged after a safe delivery of triplets and was alright until the third week when she complained of short breath but died on reaching the hospital.
