V/R: A sad story of triplets whose mother died 3 weeks after giving birth

Reports available to Coverghana.com.gh suggest that, a young lady by the name, Charlotte Amewu has died barely three weeks after giving birth to triplets.

Madam Charlotte Amewu who stays in Ashiaman in the Greater Accra Region with her husband came to her in-laws at Mafi-Kpedzeglo in the Central Tongu District of the Volta Region to deliver her babies when she was due to give birth.

She was admitted at Adidome Government Hospital in the Central Tongu District where she successfully gave birth to three bouncy babies (triplets), two boys and a girl.

She was discharged after a safe delivery of triplets and was alright until the third week when she complained of short breath but died on reaching the hospital.

“We called her Doctor who requested we rush her to the hospital which we did but the Doctor said Madam Charlotte Amewu had died before we  arrived”, an aunty to the triplets narrated.

According to our sources, the triplet orphans are left to the mercy of the Almighty God after the demise of their beloved mother. The family of the deceased is appealing to the general public to support them in the upbringing of the babies in any ways they could.

Currently, the body of deceased mother of the triplets is deposited at the Adidome Government Hospital mortuary awaiting funeral arrangement.
