Citi TV journalist Umaru Sanda asks Ken Ofori-Atta to resign like Dr. Kwabena Donkor

One of Ghana’s top journalists Umaru Sanda Amadu has asked Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta to resign just like how Dr. Kwabena Donkor did in 2015.
In a statement made by Citi Tv journalist Umaru Sanda, he asked Ken Ofori-Atta to resign like how Dr. Kwabena Donkor did in 2015.
Umaru said in a post where he was referring to Dr. Kwabena Donkor that “In 2015, he did “too known” and said he’d fix dumsor. By December, he couldn’t, so he resigned with honour.
“You also did “too known” that we’re a proud country that’ll never go to IMF. Today, we’ve taken our own scissors to the IMF to cut our head. Please, sir, it’s December. Resign honourably.”
Dr. Kwabena Donkor was the Power Minister under the Mahama-led administration in 2015. Before he resumed office as the Power Minister, he promised to solve the power crisis Ghana was facing at the time. Also, he promised to resign if they cannot solve the problem of “dumsor”.
Dr. Kwabena Donkor after assuming office was not able to address the eating-up challenge hence, he stood firm and resign as he promised.
Even though he did not point out straight his reasons, he said “I resigned for internal political reasons, which I am not prepared to say here.”
Today, in 2022, Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta was not able to deliver as he promised before assuming the office of Finance Minister therefore, a lot of the Ghanaian masses are calling for his resignation.
