Progressive People's Party (PPP) Parliamentary Candidate for South Dayi, Engineer Felix Lartey
The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) Parliamentary Candidate for South Dayi, Engineer Felix Lartey has said Members of Parliament who solely depend on the Common Fund must be voted out of parliament because they have no business there.
Speaking at a debate organized by the Catholic Diocese of Ho for Parliamentary Candidates in Dzemeni in the South Dayi constituency of the volta region, Mr. Felix Lartey said “A lot of MPs except for Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa among Volta MPs depend solely on the Common fund and it is very sad that we keep voting for them.” He then advised members of parliament especially in the volta region to stop taking the people for granted.

According to him, the current Member of Parliament for South Dayi constituency has performed abysmally and should not even be entertained by the constituents.
“Lawyer Dafeamekpor Rockson Etse Nelson should rather be seen apologising for his bad performance but because he and his party takes volta people for granted, he’s still going round asking for more term to waste our developmental time for nothing and we will not allow it this time.”
Catholic Diocese of Ho organized a Parliamentary debate on the theme “Role of Parliament, Local Authority and Participatory Governance for Community Development” which was highly patronised. Only the incumbent MP Lawyer Dafeamekpor Rockson Etse Nelson and the PPP candidate Felix Lartey were in attendance with the DCE who is also the NPP parliamentary candidate Hon. Ernest Kodzo Mallet missing.
