25 year old Dave Donbo and his friend have built an application to make access to auto rickshaws popularly known as “Kambuu” in the upper west easier and faster.
Dave and his friend developed the app whilst they were at home for a year after finishing senior high school. After he got admission into Ashesi university to study computer engineering, Dave requested for support through the Fund for service to the youth and children application on campus when he was in his first semester at the school.
He received the grant and in August 2022, the app has gone live on both android and IOS devices with focus on growing usage and also recruiting drivers in and around Tamale in the Northern region of Ghana.
The Kambuu: is set to help increase revenue of drivers and also help clients access rides easily in the comfort of their homes.
The developer of the Kambuu app, Dave Donbo says he is truly excited about the prospects of the app and is looking forward to working with drivers as well as riders from Tamale.
