Mr. David Kattah, the incumbent Volta Regional Chairman of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has won the Championship race in the just ended Delegates’ Conference.
According to the teachers/delegates from the two Regions thus; Volta and Oti, they are very confident in the productive leadership of Mr. David Kattah over the last four years, hence, the need for his reelection as their Regional Chairman for another four years term in order to continue his positive works.
The Delegates, ahead of the elections were seen all over chanting, mentioning David Kattah’s name with different and positive phrases, some of which read, “We like his leadership, he is Volta GNAT number one, he is the grassroot and humble leader” among many.
Though, some teachers across the country have descended heavily on their leadership in the recent times and vowed to vote them out of office due to government’s poor conditions of service to teachers and poor quality of education, the story is entirely different in the case of David Kattah. The supports he had from accredited Delegates’ to Regional Conference show that, teachers within the two Regions have repossessed massive confident in their “Humble Leader” Mr. David Kattah and duly retained him in office.
He was reelected at 6th Quadrennial (53rd) Regional Delegates’ Conference held in Ho, the Association’s Regional GNAT Hall from Monday, 9th August to Wednesday, 11th August, 2021.
