GNAT Volta Regional Delegates elect new Executive Officers – Check Details

The Volta Regional Delegates of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) have elected new Executive Officers to steer the affairs of the Regional Secretariat for the next administrative four years.
The Executive Officers were elected at the just ended 6th Quadrennial (53rd) Regional Delegates’ Conference organized by the Association at the Regional GNAT Hall on the theme “GNAT @90: Surviving as a Reliable and Vibrant Teacher Union in the 21st Century; Addressing Challenges facing the Ghanaian Teacher.”
The election which took barely two (2) hours featured a total of three hundred and sixty-three (363) delegates in two different centres A and B respectively.
Teacher Unions roar over poor quality of education and conditions of service for teachers
Out of the number, one hundred and seventy-three (173) delegates cast their ballots at Centre A while one hundred and eighty-one (181) delegates cast their ballots at Centre B, making a total of three hundred and fifty-four (354). Nine (9) delegates did not show up to vote.
