Deputy Director-General of GES pays a visit to Abutia SHS

Deputy Director-General of the Ghana Education Service recently conducted a visit to Abutia Senior High Technical School in order to assess the school’s infrastructure and address any pressing needs.

Dr. Bempah K Tandoh, Deputy Director-General of GES in charge of Quality and Access (Q&C), and accompanied by Mr. Francis Yaw Agbemadi, the Volta Regional Director of Education, and staff of the Directorate visited the school aimed to promote effective teaching and learning.

During the visit, Dr. Tandoh had the opportunity to interact with the final year students who were still on campus, preparing for their upcoming examinations.

He encouraged them to work hard and strive for excellence in order to achieve outstanding results in their final exams.

Recognizing the importance of monitoring and supervision in fostering enthusiasm and seriousness among students, Dr. Tandoh emphasized the significance of dedicated effort and determination.

Furthermore, Dr. Tandoh commended the Headmaster and the school’s management for their exemplary leadership skills, which had resulted in the school’s exceptional performance in the previous West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

The officials expressed their appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality extended to them by the school community.

In response, the Headmaster and his management team expressed their gratitude for the visit.

They acknowledged the significance of the his presence, believing that it would serve as motivation for continuous improvement and prompt action on the challenges faced by the school.

The visit was seen as an opportunity to bring attention to the “Big Men” in charge and to highlight the needs and concerns of the school for appropriate interventions.
