Difference between Diploma in Education and Post Graduate Diploma in Education

Diploma in Education is a stand alone program of study at the University whiles Post Graduate Diploma in Education is a one year top up course for anyone who has a degree in other fields aside education and wants to teach under the Ghana Education Service.
The required mode of entry for a diploma in Education in Ghana is a WASSCE or SSCE whiles the accepted mode of entry for the Post graduate diploma in education is a bachelors degree.

Also, People with bachelors degree in non education courses can also do a one year Diploma in Education program and still become professional teachers in Ghana and be employees of the Ghana Education Service (GES).
However, the difference is that Postgraduate Diploma in Education is recognized worldwide for graduate teachers with background of non teaching programmes.

Diploma in Education is not accepted in most countries, even if you add it to your first degree non education course.
