Don’t blame us if we seek other alternatives to sate our hunger- Newly Posted teachers to Government

The leadership of the Coalition of Newly Recruited Teachers has issued a release to show their displeasure on the delay of payment of salaries for over 7 months.

The group has served a notice to the Ghana Education Service and Ministry of Education to as a matter of urgency address all concerns delaying the release of Staff IDs and payment of salaries to teachers who have completed the biometric registration.

The leadership of the group which comprises of SRC Presidents for the various colleges of education for the year group of recruited teachers have began massive media engagements starting, today, 1st August, 2022 with the aim of getting the ministry of education to expedite the issuance of staff IDs to their members as well as releasing payments.

The convener of the coalition, Mr. Augustine Appiah, a former TTAG president and the press and Information Secretary, Joshua Owusu Yeboah (a former TTAG national coordinator), stated in the release that “ financial clearance was issued by the ministry of finance in November 2021 so why the incessant delay in disbursement of the fund?”

The group concluded their statement by saying no one should blame them if they look for other means to sate their hunger since a hungry man is an angry man.
