CHRISTIAN COUNCIL OF GHANA
PASTORAL LETTER TO ALL MEMBER CHURCHES

December 9, 2020

Beloved in Christ,

CELEBRATE IN MODERATION AND DO NOT WEAR POLITICAL PARTY PARAPHERNALIA TO CHURCH ON SUNDAY.

We bring you greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
The Christian Council of Ghana (CCG) is concerned about mounting tensions in some parts of the country ahead of the declaration of the winner of the just ended Presidential Elections in Ghana.

We therefore urge supporters of the winning candidate to celebrate moderately and avoid comments that can inflame violence with political opponents. We also appeal to supporters of the losing candidate to accept the loss graciously.

The CCG also wish to state that, for the sake of peace, unity and national cohesion, Christians should not put-on Political Party paraphernalia to church on Sunday.

We encourage Pastors to use the coming Sunday to thank God tor peaceful Elections and to preach unity among the  Ghanaian People.

Let us continue to pray for a united prosperous country.
The Lord bless you.

Signed
REV. DR. CYRIL FAYOSE
GENERAL SECRETARY
