Dr. Adutwum sponsors 30 SHS graduates to study at University of Mines and Technology

The Deputy Minister of Education in Charge of Pre-tertiary Education under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s first term Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has fully sponsored thirty (30) Senior High School (SHS) Graduates to study at the University of Mines and Technonoly (UMaT) at Tarkwa.

According to the Member of Parliament for the Bosomtwe Constituency Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, he has paid fees, secured accommodation for all the students. He has also arranged bus to convey students to Tarkwa today, 11th January, 2020 as tertiary Institutions reopen for academic works.

Dr. Adutwum noted that, his vision of ensuring that Bosomtwe gets hundred (100) engineers within the next ten years is on course as he is determined to achieve that.

“I encouraged them to aim high, study hard, read wide and pursue success. The excitement on their faces and that of the parents who had assembled in front of my Constituency Office building was palpable.” Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum said.

In a statement sighted by Coverghana.com.gh, the former Deputy Education Minister said, “This morning, I bid farewell to 30 students from Bosomtwe who are on their way to University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) at Tarkwa. They are going to pursue various courses in Engineering fully funded by me.”
