Earlier today, the Vice President of Ghana Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and other top officials of the New Patriotic Party paid a special visit to His Eminence the National Chief Imam, Dr. Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu.
According to the office of the vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s visit to the National Chief Iman was to officially inform him about Dr. Bawumia’s re-nomination as running mate to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the upcoming 2020 Presidential election.

Speaking during the visit, Dr. Bawumia thanked the National Chief Imam for his
continuous coaching, advice and guidance
throughout his political life and other diverse ways and asked for his continuous prayers and blessings. The Vice President also added that, he remains committed to the agenda and aspirations of the Ghanaian people for decent and peaceful campaigning in the run-up to, during and after the elections
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was accompanied during his visit to the National Chief Imam by Mr. Freddie Blay,
National Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Hon.Patrick Boamah, the Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central
Constituency.
