Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia Commissions Chief imam’s Sports Complex

The Vice President of the Republic, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has commissioned the Chief Imam’s Sports Complex.
The vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia yesterday 24th November, 2020 Commissioned a new Sports Complex at New Fadama in Accra.

The New Sports Complex Commissioned by the Dr. Bawumia which was funded by the Zongo Development Fund has also been named after National Chief Imam of Ghana, His Eminence Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu.
Speaking during the Commissioning of the Chief Imam’s Sports Complex at Fadama, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia indicated that the Sports Complex is one of many sports complexes which the Akufo-Addo government, has, through the Zongo Development Fund, constructed in many Zongos.
The vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia during the Commissioning said;

“President Akufo-Addo has fulfilled his promise to the people of Zongo by creating a ministry and the Zongo Development which are delivering infrastructure development in the areas of access roads, roads, drainage systems, water systems, etc, as well as prioritising education in Zongos, which has seen the building of classrooms, provision of tertiary grants to needy students and the award scholarships to 40 students from Zongos to Cuba to study medicine.”
“Through the creation of the Ministry of Zongo and Inner Cities Development and the Zongo Development Fund, many Zongos are witnessing accelerated infrastructure development and opportunities for human resource development.”
“The Zongo Development Fund has supported the building and rehabilitation of access roads, bridges, drainage systems, clinics, chip compounds, toilets and water systems in many Zongo communities in all sixteen regions. No government, since independence, has paid this level of attention to Zongo communities.”
