The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Health Insurance Authority, Dr Okoe Boye has donated a Sanitation Vehicle to his alma mater, Presbyterian Boys Secondary (PRESEC-LEGON) at a short ceremony in the school on 30th August, 2022.
According to the renowned medical doctor and former Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku, he embarked on this kind gesture after his attention was drawn to challenges of waste collection in the school.
Presbyterian Boy’s Secondary has a population of over Four Thousand (4,000) students. The school having such a huge number of students started facing challenge with their waste management system.
This became a headache to the school authorities and the students as a whole. In this regard, the school started to reaching out to some old students for assistance to manage the situation.
Dr. Bernard Okoe-Boye was notified about the challenge his noble Alma Mater was facing. Also as a Medical Doctor, he knows the essence of keeping a healthy sanitation decided to assist the school by donating the sanitation vehicle to them.
Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye expressed how happy he was, giving back to his Alma mater. He said “I saw an opportunity in giving back to the school that taught me the skills necessary for the world of work.
Together we shall create the Ghana we desire”.
The Honorable former Member of Parliament (MP) for Ledzokuku constituency who is a Medical Doctor by profession is known to be an old student of Presbyterian Boy’s Secondary.
