Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, former Flagbearer of the Convention’s People Party (CPP) and Founder of GN Bank has made a sober reflection on the closure of his banks some 3 years ago.
The politician has taken into account the fact that his dreams to create and regulate quality financial services everywhere in the country was shattered.
The over 300 branches of the bank have been closed for approximately 3 years and he has expressed his sentiments over it.
According to Mr. Nduom, the closure of the banks has rendered thousands of young men and women who were in the institution unemployed for over 3 years.
He also talked about the fact that assets which cost millions of Cedis have been destroyed whilst others have been to rot
Mr. Nduom said “Today is three years since our dream to develop a safe and sound regulated financial institution present everywhere in Ghana was deferred. Thousands of young men and women remain at home. Hundreds of millions of assets have been lost, abandoned, destroyed or rotting away. 300 branches remain locked up.”
Mr. Nduom concluded his statement by saying that in all this his faith remains strong.
