Earlier this year, the Electoral Commission of the Republic of Ghana announced it’s intention to compile a new voter’s register ahead of the 2020 parliamentary and presidential elections.
This decision has been greeted with a lot of opposition from the National Democratic Congress of which Yayra Koku is a member.
In a Facebook Post, the I.T Consultant Yayra Koku explained that he doesn’t know who is advising the commission because the Electoral Commission is on a slippery road because he has the experience of working with such kits before and that a biometric registration kit is not like buying a phone or laptop at the shop as they come with serious challenges.
