The Electoral Commission of the National Union of Tongu Students and Associates (NUTSA) has lifted ban on students politics to pave way for the conduct of its National Elections at the upcoming 13th National Congress.
In a statement issued by the Electoral Commissioner of the Union Nicholas Kelvin Agboni for the Commission under the subject, Lifting ban on NUTSA national politics for the conduct of Elections reads;

BAN ON NUTSA NATIONAL POLITICS.
In reference to article 147 clause 147.1 of the Union’s Constitution, the Electoral Commission of National Union of Tongu Students and Associates (NUTSA) has therefore declared the 2019/2020 indefinite ban on NUTSA NATIONAL POLITICS null and void.
The Electoral Commission of NUTSA in accordance with the Union’s Constitution hereby lift ban on NUTSA NATIONAL POLITICS and officially open nomination for 2020/2021 NUTSA year.
The Commission hereby wish to inform the membership of the Union that, nomination is opened for the following national portfolios;
MAJOR POSITIONS
1. President and his/her Vice President
2. General Secretary
3. Financial Secretary
4. Public Relation Officer
5. Women’s Commissioner
6. Organizer
DEPUTY POSITIONS
1. Deputy General Secretary
2. Deputy Public Relation Officer
3. Deputy Organizer
4. Deputy Women’s Commissioner
5. Treasurer.
Punishment meted out to students too harsh; Reconsider your decision – NUTSA tells GES
The Electoral Commission in the coming days, shall announce the modalities for the conduct of the upcoming elections for the 13th National Congress of NUTSA.
The commission therefore admonish any qualified member of the Union who wishes to contest for a position at the national secretariat to do so, in accordance with the Union’s Constitution.
