SEA: Famous Afeyetso has been nominated for Outstanding Man of the Year

The National Public Relations Officer (PRO) of National Union of Tongu Students and Associates (NUTSA), Mr. Famous Afeyetso has been nominated for Outstanding Man of the Year, at the office of the Women’s Commission of Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) She Essence Award (SEA).
His nomination was filed as a result of his help and support offered to trainees before and during the outbreak of COVID-19 which led to an online studies.

The nomination is geared towards recognising, celebrating and honouring distinguished women and men personalities in all essential field of Ghana’s development and as far as the teacher trainee is concerned.
His support to his colleagues nationwide, was to help some trainees who were having problem with the new system of learning to cope with and have ease of every tasks in order to complete the online studies successfully and colourfully.
He championed the call for government, stakeholders and Student Loan Trust Fund to make the release of teacher trainees’ allowance when there was a delay, making it more difficult for trainees to cope with their online studies.

His assiduous role in this aspect was actually writing and publishing stories calling government and stakeholders, and SLTF to respond to the calls of trainees positively in order for most trainees who were facing financial challenges, to take part in the then online studies from home. His laudable efforts indeed, have brought positive outcomes; the allowances for four months were paid. His publications have actually went far and brought closer to every teacher trainee the reasons to enjoy, whiles studying from home.
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place at St. Ambrose College of Education, Dorma during the 25th Annual Delegates Congress of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG).
