Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the Minister of Education, revealed the government’s initiative to distribute more than 1.4 million tablets to students in senior high schools as part of the free SHS policy.

The primary objective of this initiative is to enhance the quality of teaching and learning in public senior high schools across the nation.

During his speech at the Wesley Girls’ Senior High School’s speech and prize-giving day, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum disclosed that the tablet distribution would be carried out within the next two months.

“I am pleased to inform you that within the next two months, every student in this school will receive a tablet computer. We are in the process of developing a learning management system, and all teachers will undergo training to enable you to complete your assignments and class activities online. As part of this initiative, we will also explore the possibility of acquiring additional smart boards, creating a 360-degree smart and technology-driven environment,” The minister stated .

This initiative aims to equip students with digital tools and resources, enhancing their educational experience and preparing them for a technology-driven future.
