Fernando Villavicencio Biography, Age, Parents, Wife, Children, Net Worth, Cause of Death: Fernando Alcibiades Villavicencio Valencia was a prominent Ecuadorian, noted for his work in journalism, labor unionism, and politics, and became a prominent contender for president of Ecuador in the general election of 2023. His political career was defined by commitment, serving as a dedicated member of the National Assembly from 2021 until the dissolution of the legislative body on May 17, 2023.
However, with the co-founding of the Pachakutik Party in 1995, Villavicencio became involved in influencing Ecuador’s political scene after completing his undergraduate studies. Later, in 1996, he started working with Petroecuador as a social communicator before transitioning to a trade unionist role. However, the Jamil Mahuad administration fired him in 1999, putting a stop to his employment. He used the settlement money to start a pizzeria with his brother, using a setback as an opportunity.
Villavicencio had certain difficulties on the way to becoming a politician. He tried unsuccessfully to win a seat in the National Assembly in 2017, but was successful in the 2021 elections, running as a candidate for the national constituency. Notably, he announced in May 2023 that he will stand for president in the general election of that same year, demonstrating his continuous commitment to the government of his country until his untimely death.
