FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Costa Rica 2022 Draw Pots

The Central America country Costa Rica will be the host nation for the upcoming FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2022.

Since the inception of FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, the Central America country Costa Rica will be hosting their second edition. FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup held in 2014 was the first played on the soil of Costa Rica.

Earlier, the tournament was called FIFA U-17 WOMEN’S WORLD CUP before changes were made to the age limit hence, FIFA U-20 WOMEN’S WORLD CUP currently.

This year (2022), Costa Rica is branding their soil with the much anticipated 2022 FIFA WOMEN’S WORLD CUP. Initially, the tournament was meant to come off in 2020 but due to Covid-19, it was cancelled and rescheduled for this year, 2022.

The fixtures were arranged in four (4) Pots. Each pot has four (4) countries totaling sixteen (16) countries heading to play the much anticipated FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica starting on August 10th to 28th of 2022

Africa has only two (2) countries from the West representing the continent in upcoming tournament in Costa Rica.

POT 1: Costa Rica, Germany, Japan, France

POT 2: Nigeria, Spain, USA, Mexico

POT 3: Brazil, South Korea, Ghana, New Zealand

POT 4: Netherlands, Canada Colombia, Australia
