First Islamic Nursing Training College opened in Ghana
The first ever Islamic Nursing Training College has been opened in Ghana.
The Islamic Nursing Training was built and opened by the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa at Aplaku, Accra.
The facility, which is the first ever Islamic facility, is expected to help the existing Nursing Training Colleges to provide professional nursing education in the country.

The Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa is the largest group of Muslims and the only group whose believes and teachings are said to be truly in accordance with the Qur’an.
The Vice President, Dr. Bawumia who graced the occasion commended the leadership of the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa as well as all those who contributed towards the building of the Islamic Nursing Training School.

He further indicated that, despite there are over 90 public nursing colleges across the country, they are inadequate to meet the growing admission demands of SHS graduates and commended the Faith based organisations for playing leading roles in complementing government’s effort at expanding access to nursing training in the country.
“The Islamic Nursing Training School, is a welcome addition to these schools, and it will offer more admission opportunities to young Ghanaians aspiring to be nurses.” The Vice President said.
