Gazetted results in circulation are fake; it’s a mischievous plan to discredit us – EC

Madam Jean Mensa led Electoral Commission of Ghana says, the Gazetted Parliamentary election results in circulation are fake and, it’s a calculated attempt, mischievously planned to discredit the Commission.
In a press statement, the Electoral Commission noted that, their attention has been drawn to a document being mischievously shared on social media purporting to be the Gazetted results of the 2020 Parliamentary Elections. The document is not authentic and should be disregarded.

The Commission further said, the Gazetted results of the 2020 Parliamentary Elections can be purchased at the Assembly Press.
The Electoral Commission is therefore calling on the general public not to place any premium on the document circulating on social media since it is false. This is calculated to mislead the public and discredit the Commission.
There were some Certified documents circulating on social media that indicate the Electoral Commission on 22nd December 2020, has Gazetted the December 2020 Parliamentary election results at the Ghana Publishing Company Limited, Assembly Press at Barnes Road, Accra, Ghana.
The Electoral Commission noted that, the document in circulation to have been Gazetted by them are not authentic and must be disregarded.
