Some Heads are also allegedly selling free items that are supplied by the government to the students.

ACTION TO BE TAKEN

Investigations will soon commence into the issues to ensure that the right things are done in our schools, GES said.

GES also cautioned the Heads of Second Cycle Schools to stick to the approved harmonized prospectus for students.

Further, GES stated categorically that “Head of School caught demanding any item(s) aside from the approved ones will be severely sanctioned.”

GES CAUTIONED PARENTS

Parents/Guardians were advised on buying the approved items on the prospectus from the open market not in the schools to avoid any conflict of interest on the part of the school authorities.
