GES PROMOTION OF JUNIOR RANK AND CONFIRMATION OF NEWLY RECRUITED TEACHERS 

Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) invites applications for Promotion of Junior Rank and Confirmation of Newly Recruited Teachers.

The Service is inviting applications from all qualified and serving Teaching and Non-Teaching personnel to be considered for promotion to the following listed ranks below.

The promotions are geared towards the following ranks:

1. Senior Superintendent I

2. Technical Teachers Category

3. Non-Teaching Personnel Category

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. SENIOR SUPERINTENDENT I

An applicant should be on the rank of Senior Superintendent I for four (4) years and MUST have been promoted to the rank on /or before 1st September, 2019.

2. TECHNICAL TEACHERS CATEGORY

An applicant should be on the current rank for four (4) years and MUST have been promote to the rank on /or before 1st September, 2019.

3. NON-TEACHING PERSONNEL CATEGORY

All applicants for promotion to the grade in Non-Teaching staff category at the District level MUST have served for three (3) years and MUST have been appointed /or promoted to the rank on or before 1st September, 2020.

CONFIRMATION

All newly trained teachers who were recruited on /or before 28th February 2022, but have not yet been confirmed should apply for confirmations.

MODE OF APPLICATION

1. All applicants are to pick application and appraisal forms from the Registry.

2. Headteacher /or Headmistresses are required to appraise teachers while School Improvement Support Officers (SISO) appraise Headteacher.

3. All applications should have the following attached:

a.  An Appraisal Form duly signed by the Headteacher /or SISO.

b.  A copy of the Confirmation Letter in the case of promotion applicants.

c. A copy of previous Promotion Letter(s).

d.  First Appointment Letter.

e.  Current payslip.

4. All applications should be forwarded to the District Director through the Registry.

5. All Headteacher / Headmistresses / teachers are kindly requested to bring the content of this letter to the attention of all Teaching and Non-Teaching staff serving under them.
