Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has cautioned the general public against recruitment scam into the service.

In an official release signed by Ms. Angela Frimpomaa Nkansah, AG. Director, HRMD, the Service updated the general public on the spreading recruitment scam news in the recent times.

According to the statement, GES said, “numerous allegations/complaints of dubious people defrauding unsuspecting Nation Builders Corp (NABCO) beneficiaries seeking recruitment into GES.”

However, GES dissociated themselves saying “these complaints are very disturbing and bring the image of the Service to disrepute.”

They (GES) have dissociated themselves from such allegations as it is not the practice of the Service to take money from applicants before recruiting them.

Emphasizing, GES stated categorically that “the Service has not contracted any individual to collect any money on its behalf in connection with recruitment.”

Management condemned the recruitment scam practice and informed the general public to report such unscrupulous persons to the police or pay such monies at their risk.

For persons who would fall victim to the recruitment scam, Ghana Education Service said they “shall not be held liable for such payment.”
