GES releases fund for payment of academic intervention to staff under Free SHS programme

The government of Ghana through the management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has released fund for the payment of academic intervention to staff of second cycle institutions who were employed under the Free SHS programme.

In a press statement signed by the Director General of the Ghana Education Service Professor Kwesi Opoku-Amankwa, a total of fifty-Six mIllon, six hundred and twenty-Nnine thousand, six hundred and eighty-eight Ghana cedis (GH¢56,629,688.00) has been released to pay all SHS/TVETS staff under the Free SHS prograrmme.

According to the statement, the fund has been released and distributed into the account of all beneficiary schools.

The Ghana Education Service has further directed all Regional Directors to monitor and ensure that heads and schools authorities disburse the
monies to every staff in line with the modalities published.
