GES salutes teachers and parents for excellent work done after 2023 WASSCE result release

Management of Ghana Education Service (GES) has commended all teachers, parents and the entire Ghana Education Service (GES) fraternity for their excellent work.
GES attributed this success to the continuous running of Free SHS since its inception.
“It is important to note that the 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 candidates are Free SHS students and the 2023 results is the best in 9 years.”
The management in a wish-well statement said
“Together, we achieved this historic feat!”
“Congratulations to all 2023 WASSCE candidates!”
According to GES, the success chalked by the 2023 WASSCE batch stands as the best results in nine (9) years.
“You’ve given us the best results in nine (9) years!”
Additionally, they said “A trend analysis of the aggregate percentage passes in A1-C6 from 2015 to 2023 in the 4 Core Subject areas show a general improvement in performance, with the past 5 years’ performance seeing a tremendous jump with an average of 60% and above.
“It is important to note that the 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 candidates are Free SHS students and the 2023 results is the best in 9 years.
“For 2022 and 2023 year groups, MORE THAN 60% of candidates obtained A1-C6 in ALL Core Subjects.
“A1-C6 are the grades that are required for a student to qualify for admission into a tertiary institution in Ghana,” GES stated.
