GFA to pay Coach Otto Addo a lump sum of $50,000 as monthly salary

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will pay the new Black Stars Coach, Otto Addo a lump sum of $50,000 equivalent to GH¢ 648,855.00 as his monthly salary per reports.
The salary has spiked a conversation among many Ghanaians because many are of the view that the Head Coach is not to be paid that huge amount of money as his monthly salary looking at the state of the country coupled with other challenges facing the nation collectively.

According to Ghana FA, Otto Addo will be offered a 34-month contract with an option for a further 24 months.
Detailing his ratings and accompanying qualities, many were disclosed about him.
“Otto was exceptional in the interview process and was rated highly by the search committee, hence the decision,” President Simeon-Okraku told ghanafa.org
“There were some brilliant individuals among the coaches who applied for the job, so the committee took the pain to interview a chunk of them to pick their thoughts on their intentions to transform the team within a short period of time due to our peculiar situation”
“The Committee was overly satisfied with Otto’s performance for which reason he was recommended to the Executive Council for approval,” President Simeon-Okraku added.
In addition, the Committee in their official publication which announced Otto’s appointment added that “Otto will be allowed by Borussia Dortmund to join Ghana for the March international window, after which he will travel back to the club to officially hand over and take up the job permanently in May this year.
