Coalition of Unemployed Trained Teachers (CUTT)
The leadership of the Coalition of Unemployed Trained Teachers (CUT) has given the Ghana Education Service (GES) a limited time frame to employ them if not they will advise themselves.
The release date March 15, 2024, was distributed to Ghana Education Service, Ministry of Education, Parliament Select Committee on Education, Civil Society Organizations, All Teacher Unions, and All Media Houses.

GHANA EDUCATION SERVICE (GES) AND MINISTRY OF EDUCATION (MOE) UNCONCERNED ABOUT POSTING NEWLY TRAINED AND QUALIFIED TEACHERS
We the Coalition of Unemployed Teachers (2022 batch) wish to express our displeasure and disappointment in the way and manner to which issues of our recruitment and postings are being handled by the Ghana Education Service and the Ministry of Education.
It is sad to note that having issued a presser and written officially on two occasions to the Ghana Education Service (GES) and the Ministry of Education (MoE) on 21st February 2024, 29th February 2024, and 12th March 2024 respectively, seeking clarification for the delay in our recruitment and equally requesting for the portal to be opened, there has not been any formal response or reply from GES or MoE for more than two weeks now and counting. We find this disturbing and worrisome.
The teaching profession is an enviable profession for many Ghanaians these days because of the degree program being introduced into the colleges of education as well as the immediate recruitment of teachers by GES when they are done and have met all the necessary requirements.

Unfortunately, what is happening now is going to throw the image of this enviable profession into tatters. For if actions are not expedited in our recruitment, it may lead to the creation of backlogs as we have in other professions. Hence, making people lose interest in the field and subsequently deny the Ghanaian child the opportunity to quality education.
In light of all these, we wish to give the Ghana Education Service and the Ministry of Education up to the third week of March to recruit us else we shall advise ourselves accordingly in line with the law of the land.
