GH¢44.55 wrongful deduction from teachers’ salary to be paid in October and November 2023 – GNAT

The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) says GH¢44.55 wrongful deduction from teachers’ salary will be paid in October and November 2023.
At the National Council meeting held from Tuesday 26th – Friday 29th September, 2023, GNAT presented their challenges to the Deputy Minister of Education, Hon. John Ntim Fordjour who was ordered by the Minister for Education to attend the meeting on his behalf.
He addressed numerous cases/ concerns raised including the wrongful deducted salary issue.

Promising members of the GNAT National Council, he said the GH¢44.55 wrongful deduction from their salary will be paid.
In addition, Hon. John Ntim Fordjour mentioned that the refund of the deducted Gh¢44.55 will be paid in the month of October and November 2023.
Further, he touched on other concerns tabled before him and assured the leadership that the Minister for Education would address their concerns with a lasting solution.
