Ghana Army activates operation BOAFO to assist NADMO rescue flood victims

The Ghana Army has partnered with the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) to rescue flood victims.

The operation commenced after a heavy downpour on 15th June, 2022 for social good and rescuing persons involved in the incident under an activated search and rescue operation called Operation BOAFO.

The both team did a highly commendable work for humanity as they worked collaboratively to assist in rescuing the victims involved.


The areas that were brushed with the heavy downpour are Osu, Accra Central, Kaneshie, Nungua Barrier, Circle, Odokor among other areas.

The flood caused havoc to residents in the above areas mentioned. Families were rescued from the usual yearly canker hitting the cities of the Ghana.


“In line with the operation, the 48 Engineer Regiment of the Ghana Army set out to various flood prone communities in the city to rescue people especially women and children including the elderly who may have been in danger as result of the floods.”

The Ghana Army wishes to assure the general public of its commitment to safeguarding live and property.
