I feel extremely honoured to lead this eminent team to manage NDC 2020 Campaign. Looking at the eminence of the team, the passion of our youth and the wisdom of our leaders past and present, there is no doubt that together we will win. We do not take the task for granted. I am very confident of the team. While congratulating my colleagues, I will like to take this opportunity to thank the leader, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and the National Executive of the party for this excellent work.

We also wish to congratulate our running mate, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, whose nomination, we believe adds another dimension to the campaign and brings the formation of the NDC Team 2020 to closure. With this, the Team is set to move into action.

The party hierarchy and the rank and file have already laid a solid foundation, our task is to build on it through team work and effective coordination and we will leave no stone unturned in any hamlet. This campaign shall be a structured and all-inclusive campaign.

Allow me to share a personal experience with you. When I got a scholarship to the Soviet Union to study Industrial Economics, four mummy trucks with a brass-band escorted me to the airport. It was such a terrific event. When I arrived in the Soviet Union, each time I was confronted with the examination paper, I mirrored the scenery of my escort to the airport and I remind myself, those who escorted me will be expecting my certificate upon my return.

The certificate was the evidence of the accomplishment of my mission. Luckily by Hardwork and the special grace of God I got the certificate. Upon my return, seven mummy trucks were waiting for me at the Kotoka International Airport. When we arrived home, I gave the certificate to my father who passed it around for all present to touch and have a feel of it. Today, this ceremony reminds me of my going and return from the Soviet Union and the expectation of our mission, “NDC Mission 2020” and together with my very able team, we assure you of nothing but victory 2020 and our march to the flag-staff house.

Ladies and Gentlemen, for the past few days, we have received congratulatory messages from a good number of people from the length and breadth of this country both from the NDC faithful’s and those who have seen through the NPP and desire a change. This shows their expectations. They are expecting us to redeem them from the hardships of the NPP government, led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufu Addo. We cannot and we dare not fail the good people of this country. All they want, is to see his Excellency John Dramani Mahama and the NDC come back to power come January 2021 not only to continue with the numerous developmental projects but to ensure “Jobs for the People, Money in their Pockets and Food on the Table” We are aware that leadership is not easy and we are guided by that as we take this task, but our Goal is just one “In the Flag staff House 2021” and that energizes us..
The strength of the NDC rests on all of us, particularly on the shoulders of you, the youth, our teaming supporters and sympathizers.

With the inauguration of the Campaign Team, our energies are fired, our youth are fired into action, we will not rest, our feet shall pound the grounds where need be, and we will work our phones to victory.
COVID-19, presents us with a different scenario and we understand the demands. Over the years, we have realized that particularistic benefits that is vote buying, which was well rehearsed in the last NPP primaries has its limits in national elections. The Ghanaian is more widely awake than ever, and frivolous promises shall no longer lure the Ghanaian electorate.

Jobs have been lost massively and safety and security of Ghanaians threatened to the bone not on the back of COVID-19 but due to the gross incompetence and insensitivity to the pain of the good people of Ghana.

The NDC is also not oblivious and not perturbed by the dress rehearsals for intimidation on the D-Day and we are very well prepared.

Our hardwork together with providence and grace will make our way to the flag staff house. Our effort will not be the measure of our work but our results. For now, our inspiration is victory and the victory is all we see.

To our supporters, our youth and all those who care dearly about our dear country Ghana, your energy to stand for true freedom and social justice is our motivation, and it is your passion that will help us win.

Together, the NDC will march to uproot the caustic elephant from the flag staff house and bring back His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and the Umbrella to shield Ghanaians from the hardship of the corrosive elephant family. God Bless the NDC as we march to the Flag Staff House 2021.
