The Bono Regional Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress Efo Worlanyo Tsekpe said Ghanaians are happy for the “Comeback” of the former President John Dramani Mahama. According to him, the youth numbering over 800,000 who are unemployed are yearning for the NDC’s “Okada business over the New Patriotic Party (NPP) “ghost airport “.
Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo speaking to Coverghana.com.gh reporter said, most Ghanaians express disappointment in NPP’s 2020 manifesto especially the aspect that made mentioned of a new airport in the Central Region. He indicated that, NPP in office for three and a half years could not complete simple promises made in the past in the run up to the December 2016 general elections but busily adding another load to the existing one they can’t carry.
Explaining further, he said, “Change Is indeed coming. I saw change in the eyes of Ghanaians when they welcomed the NDC’s people’s manifesto idea brought by John Dramani Mahama. It’s a sign that he has listened to the people he wish to lead come next year.”
He again said, “the mood and the reaction of Ghanaians towards NPP’s manifesto points to the fact that, John Dramani Mahama actually listened to the people who are willing to give him their power come December 7th to implement their ideas. A classical example is the Okada politics that has become the talk of the day.”
“NPP some few days ago promised to build airports which the people of Ghana know they can’t because they were not able to mould even a single block in their entire 3years 8months in office but these were people who promised heaven and earth in their 2016 manifesto.” He added.
The controversial young politician believes that, today a historic decision has been taken for the low income earners who can’t afford Urber and bolt. A decision has been taken for those who can’t afford to buy car and they are the majority.
“John Mahama has indeed listened to our hardworking 800,000 OKADA riders who have been harassed all these while by the police. I was not surprised the people of Ghana rejected the airport manifesto and are rushing for that of Okada business because, it’s only a small fraction of Ghanaians who can afford to fly but the majority are those who need the OKADA for their day to day activities.” He lauded.
Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo reiterated that, the rejection of the airport manifesto for that of OKADA clearly shows how John Dramani Mahama has the masses at heart and not the few who are rich.
“I am glad Ghanaians have already chosen Okada Manifesto which is yet to be outdoored over Airport manifesto which is already before the good people of Ghana.” He clarified.
