Ghana’s problem is bad and wasteful leadership not poor revenue mobilization -Okudzeto reveals
Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa
The Honourable Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu Constituency Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has detailed that Ghana’s problem isn’t poor revenue mobilization rather it is the bad and wasteful leadership the nation has.
In a revealing update made by the Member of Parliament (MP) today, 2nd June 2023, he wrote about the 2022 PIAC Report which was submitted to the Parliament of Ghana.
Hon. Samuel Okudzeto said “According to the 2022 PIAC Report submitted to Parliament a few days ago: “Total petroleum revenue in 2022 is the highest for a single year since the inception of petroleum production in Ghana with a figure of US$1.43 billion.”
“US$ 1.43 billion in just one year is more than what we expect from the IMF in a year.
“President Akufo-Addo is therefore the luckiest president since commercial oil production started in 2010.
“Ghana’s problem isn’t poor revenue mobilization but bad and wasteful leadership manifested classically by the creation of the world’s most expensive cathedral hole at US$ 58.1 million, and squandering millions in a needless, witch-hunt Assin North by-election.
“God help us rescue this nation.
