Glasgow Caledonia University opens for admission applications – Check and Apply
The Glasgow Caledonia University (GCU) has opened its application portal for all suitable and qualified applicants to apply. GCU is inviting application from interested applicants willing to study and obtain Master of Public Health.
The programme, Master of Health gears toward prevention of disease, promoting health, and protecting the health and well-being of the public through education, research and public health practice and service.
FEE & FUNDING
According to the University, the tuition fees for the programme is mostly determined by the Student’s fee status.
The fee status are as follows:
ANNUAL FULL-TIME TUITION FEES
Home (UK including Scottish): £8,500
International: £15,500 (Year 1 only)
PART-TIME FEES
Part-time fees are a pro rata of the full-time fee based on the number of module credits taken each trimester.
PART-TIME & DISTANCE-LEARNING TUITION FEES

As a student at the University, there are additional fees and costs which may or may not apply to you, but that you should be aware of.

GRADUATE OPPORTUNITIES
There are other awards to be obtained after studying at GCU. Apart from the Master of Public Health, there are other awards.
The programme is flexible to your career needs and provides four (4) exit awards:
- Master of Public Health
- Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health.
- Postgraduate Certificate in Public Health with Social Action.
- Postgraduate Certificate in Public Health.
EMPLOYMENT AVENUES
Graduate employability is enhanced by external guest lectures and industry-led programme design which has been mapped to the Faculty of Public Health Core competency levels throughout.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
At GCU, they have a minimum academic requirements that warrants acceptance.
- GCU Minimum academic requirement
- Applicants must have UK honours degree 2:2 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject. However, the honours should be in the following fields but not limited to medicine, nursing, dentistry, allied health professions, microbiology, or chemistry.
- English language requirement
- Academic IELTS score of 6.5 (or equivalent) with no element below 6.0.

University’s Recognition of Prior Learning scheme
Each application to GCU is considered on an individual basis.
All applicants willing to apply but do not have the typical academic entry qualifications, they can demonstrate relevant work experience and/or credits from recognised professional bodies. In that way, you may be eligible to study the course via the University’s Recognition of Prior Learning scheme.
