Global InfoAnalytics poll reveals Sam George with significant lead over main opponent in NDC primaries

According to the latest opinion poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics, Michael Tetteh Kwetey, the only challenger to incumbent Member of Parliament, Sam George, is not likely to succeed in his bid to unseat the sitting MP. The poll results show that Sam George is leading with a significant margin of 40%, with 56% of the delegates indicating their support for him, while only 16% are backing Kwetey. The remaining 28% of delegates remain undecided.

Additionally, the poll also revealed that over 90% of the NDC delegates in the constituency indicated that they would vote for former President John Dramani Mahama in the presidential primaries, with Mahama leading the race with 92.3% of the votes. Kojo Bonsu received 1.2% of the votes, while Dr Kwabena Dufour received none. 6.5% of the delegates remain undecided.

The poll findings suggest that both Sam George and John Mahama have a strong support base within the NDC in the constituency, and Michael Kwetey faces a tough challenge to unseat the incumbent MP.
